In videos posted on Weibo and Xiaohongshu, the 28-year-old Pursuit of Jade star was seen being aggressively escorted through crowds at JFK Airport by a group of burly bodyguards.

Turns out, Linghe himself was just as confused by the whole situation. 

In a video uploaded to his social media account, the actor candidly admitted that he genuinely thought “something serious had happened” when the bodyguards suddenly surrounded him after he landed.

Videos of the incident quickly trended on Weibo, with hashtags related to Linghe being “carried” by security reportedly racking up millions of views.

One discussion alone allegedly surpassed 7.5 million views, as fans replayed clips of the actor being hurried through the terminal by massive security personnel.

Some netizens observed that even at 1.9m tall, Linghe still managed to appear compact beside them.

“He genuinely looked like he thought he got arrested,” one commented.

Another joked: “This looks less like celebrity protection and more like airport extraction.”
