Zhang Linghe is having quite the moment — and he didn’t need anything more than a few casual photos to prove it.

The Chinese actor, who’s been riding high on the success of his period drama Pursuit Of Jade, recently shared a set of laid-back, at-home shots on Instagram

Within just two hours, the post racked up 500,000 likes and over the next few days, it climbed to 1.4 million, setting a new personal record. Not bad for what’s basically a “lazy day” post.

In the pics, Linghe keeps things simple, dressed in a striped top and cargo pants, serving up that “campus crush” vibe.

In one shot, he flashes the victory sign, in others, he’s seen playing with a dog.

Many quickly dubbed him the “ideal stay-at-home boyfriend,” and the comment section filled up just as fast as the likes.

But things really took off when fans started asking the important question: “Can we walk the dog together?”

And Linghe actually replied. His answer? “I don’t even have a dog.”

So yes, the adorable pup was apparently just borrowed for the shoot.

The unexpected reveal sent the comment section into overdrive. Fans joked, “Is it too late to become that dog?” and “I’ve never been this jealous of a dog in my life.” Honestly, same.

Beyond the visuals (and borrowed pooch), fans also couldn’t get enough of his off-duty style. Words like “boyfriend vibes,” “soft and gentle,” and “this is the homebody boyfriend look” kept popping up.

But Linghe didn’t just win people over with looks and humour. A recently circulated behind-the-scenes clip shows him wrapping up a late-night shoot and, despite looking exhausted, still taking time to greet extras on set and shake hands with them.

It’s a small gesture, but one that clearly stuck.

Nothing special, just chillin'.
We're envious of the dog too.
