Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau, 52, has found love again, this time with model and actress Christy Lai, 32.

The pair were recently spotted getting cosy in a car before heading to Christy's home, where Hawick reportedly spent the night.

They subsequently confirmed their relationship, with Hawick revealing that they bonded over their shared love of tennis and pickleball.

"We have common interests, so we get along really well. We're both simple people," he said.

Christy, meanwhile, described Hawick as mature and dependable, adding that they get along naturally.

Hawick was previously married to Chinese actress Yang Mi, with whom he shares a 12-year-old daughter, affectionately known as Xiao Nuomi. The former couple divorced in 2018 after four years of marriage.

He later dated Chinese actress Li Xiaofeng, though they reportedly called it quits in April this year.

While Hawick and Christy's 20-year age gap has raised eyebrows, they're hardly the first celebrity couple to have a significant age difference.

The couple have four children together, though Patrick is still married to his wife of more than three decades, who is a doctor.

Ng Sok has made headlines for openly flaunting their relationship and lavish lifestyle on social media, earning herself the nickname "Hong Kong's strongest mistress".

Lee Lung Kei, 75, & Chris Wong, 39 — 36-Year Age Gap

Veteran Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei, 75, known for frequently portraying emperors in TV dramas, made headlines for his relationship with Chinese artist Chris Wong, 39.

There was even talk of marriage and Lung Kei appeared devoted to Chris, visiting her in prison daily after she was jailed for 25 months for offences including overstaying and using forged documents.

However, their romance took a dramatic turn after Chris was released from prison and deported to China in July 2025.

It emerged that she was already married and had a 16-year-old son.

Lung Kei eventually confirmed their split in December, bringing their 14-year relationship to an end.

He even broke down in tears and lamented that he had unknowingly become "the third party".

Ng Chi Shing, 75, & Katherine Ho, 35 — 40-Year Age Gap

Former Miss Hong Kong 2014 runner-up Katherine Ho, 35, raised eyebrows when she married Macau billionaire Ng Chi Shing, who is 40 years her senior, in 2018.

Chi Shing reportedly fell for Katherine at first sight when he saw her at his company's event in 2014 and showered her with lavish gifts, including diamond necklaces and an HK$18mil (S$3.1mil) home.

However, their marriage lasted just eight months.

Despite the whirlwind marriage and divorce, Katherine appears to be doing just fine.

According to reports, she received HK$300mil (S$48.4mil) in her divorce settlement and continues to lead a lavish lifestyle, frequently sharing glimpses of her luxury purchases and overseas holidays on social media.

Heavenly King Aaron Kwok surprised many when he married Chinese model Moka Fang, who is 22 years his junior, in 2017.

Interestingly, Aaron's father-in-law, now 58, is even two years younger than him.

When Hong Kong actor Kevin Cheng, 57, and Miss Hong Kong 2013 winner Grace Chan, 35, first went public with their relationship in 2015, not everyone was convinced their romance would last.

After all, Kevin is 22 years older than Grace.

But the couple proved the sceptics wrong, tying the knot in Bali in 2018.

Billionaire businessman Eric Tsang Man Ho married former Miss Hong Kong contestant Vivi Lee, who is 25 years younger, in 2018 after just six months of dating.

Vivi, who was known for playing palace maids in TVB dramas, stepped away from showbiz after their wedding and the couple now two kids, daughter Penelope, seven, and son James, three.

She also reportedly gets along well with Eric's eldest daughter from a previous relationship, who is close to her in age.

When Hong Kong singer Alex To wanted to marry filmmaker and photographer Ice Lee, her father wasn't exactly thrilled.

Ice's dad, who is just four years older than Alex, initially objected to their relationship because of the couple's 24-year age gap.

Thankfully, he eventually won over his father-in-law, and the couple tied the knot in 2012 after five years of dating.

They have a son, Alex Junior, affectionately known as AJ, who turned 10 this month.

Action superstar Donnie Yen certainly didn't waste time when it came to love.

He married former beauty queen Cissy Wang in 2003 after dating for just three months.

Despite their 18-year age gap, the couple have remained happily married for more than two decades.

They have two children together, daughter Jasmine, 22, and son James, 18. Donnie also has an older son, Jeff, from his previous marriage.

The actor is known for doting on Cissy, and even threw her a lavish surprise wedding anniversary celebration in Italy in 2023 to mark their 20th year of marriage.

Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming made headlines in September 2024 when he publicly confirmed his romance with influencer Ye Ke, who is 14 years younger.

However, their relationship soon became overshadowed by controversies surrounding Ye Ke's remarks and behaviour.

Xiaoming later quietly deleted his relationship announcement, fuelling speculation that they had split.

In 2025, Ye Ke confirmed that she had given birth and was now a single mother. Xiaoming has never publicly confirmed speculation that he is the child's father.
