Sally Yeh, 65, Nearly Falls Off Stage During Concert, Dancer Catches Her Just In Time
Veteran Hong Kong singer Sally Yeh, 65, was so caught up in her performance that she nearly fell off the stage during a concert in Chongqing.
Sally and her husband, fellow singer George Lam, 79, have been touring together with their WE ARE ONE concert tour.
During their Oct 11 show, Sally was singing and dancing to her hit song ‘Believe In Yourself’ (信自己) when she suddenly lost her balance.
In a video shared online, she can be seen stumbling forward, just a step away from the edge of the stage, before a male dancer swiftly grabbed her, preventing what could have been a nasty fall.
Talk about a close shave.
The scary moment left fans shaken, with many praising the dancer for his quick reflexes.
"That scared me to death!" wrote one netizen, while another said: "Thankfully, the dancer reacted so quickly."
Others urged Sally to be more careful, especially at her age.
"Don't push yourself so hard! It's too dangerous!" commented one netizen.
Sally later addressed the incident, admitting that she, too, had been frightened.
"I almost jumped off! I was too excited, my balance was off, and the stage was so dark. Thank you to our young dancers!" she said.
