Jet Li Now Accused Of Wearing “Artificial Skin” In Topless Clip Where He Refuted Heart Transplant Rumours

Shortly after martial arts superstar Jet Li, 62, shut down wild rumours of a heart transplant, he's now embroiled in more crazy speculations. Again. 

Recent rumours claim that the death of Shaolin monk, Qiu Feng, who reportedly passed away in a car crash last year, was premeditated, and that his organs were harvested. Wild(er) rumours suggested that they were transplanted to Jet. 

As speculation intensified, Jet posted a vlog of himself swimming topless earlier this week, seemingly to shut down the baseless rumours by flaunting his bare chest, where there were no visible surgical scars at all. 

In the video, Jet also warned the public against believing everything they see on the internet, and emphasised the importance of “analysing things for ourselves”, and advised viewers to stop “using the tragedy of others to stir discussion”. 

However, it looks like, instead of shutting down rumours, they've fuelled even more conspiracy theories.

Now netizens, possibly those who believed there’s more to the death of Qiu Feng, are now claiming that Jet was wearing “artificial skin” in his video. 

Some pointed out “evidence” that his skin was “completely flawless, without any scars”, and that he had “no underarm hair at all”. 

Netizens also opined: “It’s unnatural how the skin on his chest is so taut and even.”

Some even said that “the more he explains it, the more suspicious he is”. 

Despite the rumours, some netizens also believe that others are simply spreading groundless rumours, “sensationalising the situation”. 

They echoed Jet’s words on thinking independently, and not believing everything posted on the Internet. 

According to a medical expert, Jet’s “flawless-looking skin” could be a result of lighting, angle, as well as video filters. They also said his “lack of underarm hair” could be simply due to video editing, or reflection of light. 

The chatter has yet to cease — some netizens still believe in the rumours that say “Jet Li had a heart transplant”, with a number wondering if there was “someone pulling the strings in the background”. 

Could they be overlooking one crucial point? Qiu Feng passed away last August, while Jet only went for a surgery this August to remove a benign tumour. Qiu Feng’s organs wouldn’t have been viable for transplant after such a long period of time. 

Will the rumours cease, or will Jet have to continuously deal with being implicated in this controversy?
