Amusement Park In China Has Weird-Looking Teletubbies For Benches

This might just be the stuff of nightmares.
Amusement Park In China Has Weird-Looking Teletubbies For Benches

Who remembers catching Teletubbies back in the late '90s?

It turns out these childhood icons are still “alive” and well in China.

Though not quite in the way one would expect.

Photos and videos of colourful, and frankly freaky-looking Teletubby benches were spotted at the Colourful Amusement Park in China’s Sichuan province.

However, some netizens have come out to say that these benches don’t resemble the original Teletubbies.

“Why do all of them have the same circle-shaped antenna. The green and yellow Teletubbies had different shaped antennas, right?”

For reference, Po, the smallest and red-coloured Teletubby has a circle-shaped antenna.

It wasn’t just bizarre-looking Teletubbies that were causing confusion.

Netizens pointed out other weird-looking cartoon characters in the park such as statues of Snow White and a dwarf that looked slightly off.

Others also highlighted the unsettling designs on electric kid scooters.

“Why does that scooter look like a Pikachu that is going to give my kid nightmares?” read a comment.

Another added, “This park and its questionable use of characters is an attraction on its own”.

Yup, these are supposedly Teletubby benches
Though some netizens are wondering why they look a little...off?
Other than looking weird, some have pointed out that the shapes of their antennas are incorrect
How comfortable is that?
