Liza Wang, 79, Reveals She Once Had a Miscarriage But Has No Regrets About Not Having Children
Think asking people why they don't have kids is harmless small talk? Liza Wang's recent interview is proof that it's not that straightforward.
In a recent interview with Metro Broadcast, the 79-year-old TVB actress discussed the topic of motherhood, something she has rarely spoken about publicly.
Liza, who married Hong Kong veteran star Law Kar Ying in 2009 after being together since 1987, shared that she does not see being childless as a regret in her life.
“I had a miscarriage once, and after that, I never became pregnant again,” she said calmly.
Liza went on to acknowledge that raising children today comes with immense pressure, with education being one of the biggest challenges.
“My personality is not [suitable for raising a child]. I don't like teaching people. I always feel that I haven't even done well myself,” she said.
“I have no patience. You need to have a very good temperament [to be a parent], because there is a limit to a person's energy.”
For Liza, she is someone who gives her all in everything she does, which would make it difficult to juggle having a child as well.
“After all, I think health is the most important. There are some things I'm afraid I won't do well, so it wouldn't be good to force it,” she said.
