Choa Chu Kang Sec Teacher Steals The Show As He Joins Students In Teacher’s Day Dance Performance

This Teacher’s Day, our social media feeds were packed with students, teachers, and even parents showing off their dance moves.Yes, we heard ‘Soda Pop’ from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters a little too many times.

But at Choa Chu Kang Secondary School, one teacher stole the spotlight last week (Sept 4).

Ng Aik Song, who has been teaching since 2016, got thunderous cheers when he jumped on stage with Secondary One to Three students from dance CCA, Momentum,

Dressed in the same green, black, and white jackets, he grooved to the tunes of ‘Buzzin’, by Mann and 50 Cent, and the school went wild.

Is it just us, or will there be a waitlist soon for this CCA?

It seems this now popular teacher has dance in his blood, at least according to his LinkedIn profile which states: Loves to dance and teach, even better when they come together.

However, Aik Song is not the students’ dance instructor and is simply the teacher-in-charge of the CCA.

Instead, he is the subject head of student leadership.

Netizens were quick to cheer him on too.

“He has been waiting for years to have his moment,” one joked.

Another said: “This is how teachers score points. Be part of the team, not just standing at the sidelines criticising”.

Some even admitted that there might be some students (and maybe some teachers) who might have left the school hall with new crushes.

But before anyone gets any funny ideas, Hands off. He is taken.

Aik Song’s partner, Ong Si Qi is a senior consultant at Deloitte, as well as a contemporary dance instructor and an acroyoga teacher.

Clearly, they take dance seriously in their household.
