Woman, 64, Who Married Man 37 Years Younger Than Her Says She Initially Only Cared For Him As A Son

A Malaysian couple, Muhd Sabri Razaman, 27, and Norlinda Muhammed Salleh, 64, recently drew attention for sharing their love story.

According to Malaysian media, Sabri first met Norlida when he was 19, while working as a security guard at a mini market where she also worked. The pair grew closer over the two years that followed, and Sabri eventually developed feelings for Norlinda. 

He later expressed his wish to marry her. 

Norlinda accepted his proposal, but due to their large age gap, their decision to get married was not easily accepted by some family members. 

Sabri was only 21 then, but said that he was “ready to become a husband”. He stood by his decision, believing that it was fate that had brought them together. 

The couple tied the knot in 2020, and have been married for six years. 

Norlida has six children and eight grandchildren. After the marriage, Sabri became part of her family and was warmly welcomed by her children. Four of her adult children are referred to as his stepchildren, and some of them are older than him.

Sabri also shared that he is close with her grandchildren and is happy to have taken on a grandfather figure role at a young age.

The couple have enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling marriage, never having argued throughout their relationship. Sabri shared that he works hard to provide for Norlinda and has never taken advantage of her financially, adding that he is committed to taking care of her no matter what.

Speaking to their local media, Norlinda revealed that she never expected to find love again after going through a divorce in 2016. 

“I only cared for him and initially regarded him like a son, but eventually we became partners,” she said. 

She said she could not reject what she saw as God’s plan for her life, despite their large age gap. While others said Sabri was “crazy” for marrying her, she recalled that he remained firm in his decision.

Over time, she came to see him as a mature, loving, understanding, and devoted husband, adding that she trusts him completely and never feels the need to check his phone.

She also shared that she once suggested he take another wife, but he refused.

“We also had discussions about having kids, but my husband said if that were to materialise, it will be in heaven,” she added. 

For Norlinda, she simply hopes to continue making Sabri happy as they move forward in life together.
