Woman Ends Up In A&E After Laughing Too Hard At Chinese Actor Chen Zheyuan On Escape Room Variety Show

Recently, a viewer shared a photo of her emergency room visit record on social media.

The shocking title of her post read: “Watching The Great Escape Season 8 sent me to the ER.”

“Chen Zheyuan, I hate you,” the original poster (OP) quipped. 

The OP explained that she had laughed so hard during a human pinball game segment on the Chinese variety show — where celebrities work together to take on escape room challenges — that she needed urgent medical attention.

According to her post, the “culprit” this time was none other than 29-year-old Chinese actor Chen Zheyuan, who was a guest on that episode.

Wearing a bulky protective suit, Zheyuan was wrapped inside a sleeping bag and could only control the ball using his body and head. As he struggled and contorted his body in the game, the cast members burst into laughter and joked that he looked like a seal.

Watching the game apparently left the fan, who was laughing at the scene, completely wiped out.

“Everything went black in front of my eyes, my whole body went numb, my heart rate shot up, and I felt like I was about to faint,” she wrote.

True enough, she ended up in the emergency room.

After being examined by doctors, the viewer revealed that she was diagnosed with respiratory alkalosis.

The cause? “Laughing uncontrollably for several minutes,” she said. 

Following her post, the hashtag “Chen Zheyuan made a viewer laugh into the emergency room” began trending online.

Many fans also shared that they couldn’t stop laughing while watching the episode — although thankfully, no one else ended up in the hospital like the OP.

“The part where he was controlling the ball was absolutely hilarious. I was watching late at night and didn’t even dare to laugh out loud. I was dying trying to hold it in,” one fan joked.
