Chinese Actor’s Wig Gets Blasted Off By Water On Variety Show

It seems Chinese actor Chen Zheyuan’s vocals aren’t the only thing that is fake.

Remember when he was caught lip-syncing during Hunan TV’s countdown just over six months ago?

Well, the 28-year-old actor was kind of embarrassed again when his wig was blown off during a recent episode of Chinese variety show, Keep Running.

Keep Running is a spin-off from the popular South Korean show, Running Man.

As punishment for losing a game, Zheyuan was hit by a high-pressure stream of water, causing the hairy mishap.

Visibly stunned, everyone on set was heard bursting out into laughter while cast members were heard shouting for the cameras to stop filming.

Will this spell the end of Zheyuan’s idol-like image?

Apparently not.

The White Olive Tree actor actually looks decent with a buzzcut.

Zheyuan’s fellow guests even commented that his crewcut looked good and advised that he keep the wig off as he unsuccessfully tried to put it back on.

To Zheyuan’s credit, he had readily admitted that he was wearing a headpiece when questioned about the slightly odd appearance of his hairstyle before the show.

Zheyuan even boasted, “Looks pretty natural, right?”

According to him, he had shaved his head for a new role, and the wig was there to cover his admittedly "scary" buzz cut.

While we would have assumed Zheyuan would have known better that water and wigs don’t mix, he bravely said, “No need to take it off. Let’s test how good the quality is”.

This was after one of the guests had already pointed out that the edge of his wig seemed a little loose.

Well, looks like he already has he thoughts on the quality of his headpiece.

The wig was not sponsored, right?

It also seems that Zheyuan didn’t mind the accident with the wig one bit.

After the show aired, he shared the clip on his Weibo and jokingly wrote, “Let’s just pretend this never happened, okay? Nothing fell off. I’m totally fine”.
