Did The TFBoys Fall Out? Their Lack Of Interaction With Each Other At The Weibo Night Awards Seem To Suggest So

Chinese boyband TFBoys was one of the most popular Chinese groups in the early 2010s. 

For the past few years, its members, Karry Wang, 23, Roy Wang, 22, and Jackson Yee, 22, have all been focusing on their individual careers.

Among the three, Jackson has received recognition for his performances in critically acclaimed movies like Better Days and The Battle At Lake Changjin II. He also became the first actor born in the 2000s to make China's highest-grossing actor list. 

As with every group with members that fly solo, it comes as no surprise that rumours that the boys are feuding with each other have been brewing for a while now. 

Their appearance at the Weibo Night Awards last Saturday (Mar 25) has only further fuelled those rumours. 

According to reports, all three boys were arranged to be seated on the same row. 

Jackson and Roy were already at their designated seats but when Karry arrived, he declined to join them and chose to sit somewhere else instead.

It was also said that all three of them did not interact with each other all night. 

On top of that, when Karry and Roy were presented their 'Most Followed Movie Star' and 'Musician Of The Year' awards respectively, the camera panned to Jackson, who had a deadpan expression on his face. Yes, the same look Yoyo Chen gave when her husband Vincent Wong won the Best Actor award at the TVB Anniversary Awards two years ago.

Then, when it was time to take photos, Roy initially went to the right side of the stage while Karry went to the left.

Reports claimed that when Roy was told to move to where Karry was, he looked very unwilling and only agreed to do so with Chinese singer Zhou Shen standing between them.

Even then, Roy and Karry did not speak to each other, and only held separate conversations with Zhou Shen.

They also left immediately after the photos were taken.

While some fans were obviously disheartened to see the lack of interaction between the TFBoys, lamenting that "there's no hope for a 10th anniversary concert", there were also those who claimed that it was the boys' agency that forbade them to speak to one another.

According to a fan, who claimed to know how to read lips, when Zhou Shen asked Roy if he wanted to switch spots, Roy replied: "Our company doesn't allow us to".

Zhou Shen then turned to Karry who responded with a slight nod.

Other fans also said that they saw Karry and Roy leaving the venue in the same vehicle, giving credibility to the claims that they did not interact with each other because of their management's instructions.
