His latest films, war epic The Battle At Lake Changjin II and Nice View, both released on February 1, have already earned 820mil yuan (S$173.79mil) and 227mil yuan (about S$48.11mil) respectively, and total box office takings for both movies are expected to exceed 1 bil yuan (S$211.94mil).
According to ticketing platform Maoyan, the total revenue for all five of his movies exceeded 10 bil yuan on Feb 2, making him the first celeb born in the 2000s to achieve this.
There are currently 16 actors who have made the list: Wu Jing, Shen Teng, Huang Bo, Liu Haoran, Wang Baoqiang, Zhang Hanyu, Zhang Yi, Li Chen, Deng Chao, Xu Zheng, Ou Hao, Du Jiang, Louis Koo, Zhu Yawen, Elvis Han, and now Jackson.
Jackson began his showbiz career as a child star and shot to super stardom as a member Chinese idol group TFBoys in 2013.
His first starring role in 2019 bullying drama Better Days won him several awards including the Best Newcomer at the 2020 Hong Kong Film Awards.
He went on to star in A Little Red Flower (2020) and the first installment of The Battle At Lake Changjin which has since become the highest-grossing Chinese film ever released.
