Moses Chan, Aimee Chan Share Super Sweet Story On How They First Met ’Cos Of A Cup Of Coffee

Much has been written about how Moses Chan, 51, and Aimee Chan, 41, are couple goals but did you know that their love story actually started because of a cup of coffee? 

In the recent episode of Moses' TVB series Guru Coffee Tour, which he co-hosts with fellow TVB actor Benjamin Yuen, Moses invited Aimee on the show to chat about, well, coffee. 

Aimee asked Moses if he remembers where they first drank coffee together. 

"In the studio," Moses answered almost immediately, though he admitted that he doesn't remember how that actually happened.

Let Aimee jog your memory then, Moses.

According to Aimee, before she got to know Moses, she was repeatedly told that they are very much alike.

Why? Because they both love to walk around with a cup of coffee in their hands. 

"I said people do that all the time overseas, but [our colleagues] were like: "No, you and Moses are very similar!" So I thought, "Oh, okay". Quite a few people told me the same thing, so let me take note," said Aimee.

Moses also recalled how he used to always see Aimee around with a cup of coffee in her hand, which was how he knew she was a coffee lover too. 

"So this was how I got to know Aimee because of coffee," said the actor, who was shooting a drama in the studio next to the studio where Aimee was filming hers.

So how did they end up drinking coffee together?

"I'm someone who can't remember my lines if I don't drink coffee. I'm already not very good at remembering scripts to begin with, but when I don't drink coffee, my brain shuts off," laughed Aimee.

And that's when the staff in the wardrobe department told her: "Oh, ask Moses to make you a cup, he would definitely have coffee in his studio."

Call it fate or what, Moses just happened to walk into the room at that moment, which prompted Aimee to ask him for that cup of coffee.

The coffee enthusiast that is Moses then immediately went to get Aimee her caffeine fix. 

"Then I asked you, is this Blue Mountain [Coffee]? And that was the moment [it all started]," Aimee beamed.
