Like many other stars, Moses Chan, 51, has hopped on the Douyin train, and often shares clips, much to the delight of his fans – especially those with strong opinions about his facial hair, it seems.

Moses has been sporting a full moustache and beard for quite a while now. But apparently some fans weren’t too keen on the look.

In one video clip, someone – likely his manager – can be heard narrating netizens' criticisms about Moses' facial hair, as the star listened on.

Many commented that the facial hair made him look “old” and “haggard”. So what did the actor decide to do? He took the advice of his fans and shaved it all of – on video.

Granted, the clip was an ad for shaver brand, Braun, but many still applauded him for taking the advice of netizens and for his effort to share the process.

They asked, and they received

However, as usual, netizens found something new to comment on after the Douyin clip was posted.

Moses spoke in heavily-accented Mandarin for most of the clip, and occasionally used Cantonese to better describe certain things.

Many noticed that his command of Mandarin left lots to be desired (it's not his first language after all), and joked that they wouldn’t be able to understand him if not for the subtitles.

Others were pleased by the video, though, with many commenting that he looked at least 10 years younger sans facial hair. They even encouraged him to not grow his beard out anymore.

Looking real fresh

After completing filming for his upcoming drama Narcotic Heroes, Moses and his wife actress Aimee Chan, 41, took their children Aiden, 8, Nathan, 7, and Camilla, 6, on a staycation to spend some family time.

Aimee posted a photo of her and Camilla on IG and many complimented the young girl on how she looked as pretty as mum, who was the winner of the Miss Hongkong pageant back in 2006.

Hopefully his family is into his new look as his fans are.
