Jackson Wang Admits He Handles His Own, Um, Needs
What began as a chat about dating ended with the Hong Kong star revealing way more than anyone expected.
Jackson Wang may be a global superstar, but on TVB’s anniversary variety show Star Trail - Jackson Wang Special, the Hong Kong singer proved he’s also wildly honest — maybe a little too honest for some people.
While chatting with host Maria Leitão, the GOT7 member casually dropped what might be the most headline-worthy confession of the year: When he’s single and has, um… needs, he, um, takes care of himself.
Yes. He actually said it. On TV. With cameras rolling.
And funnily enough, that wasn’t even what Maria was asking.
It all started when Maria asked the 29-year-old about his love life (or lack thereof) these past two years.
Jackson shared that there were a few romantic interests but nothing serious.
When Maria followed up and asked if there was anyone felt like potential long-term material, Jackson replied: “People come and go… Sometimes it’s like that. Most of the time, I settle it myself.”
He added matter-of-factly: “I’m human too. It's normal to have basic needs!"
The internet, naturally, went completely off the rails.
Comments ranged from “Love him more now — at least he’s not out there messing around!” to “All male idols should learn from Jackson Wang”, and, of course, “I’m dying of laughter. Who doesn’t sort it out themselves?!”
And predictably, some pearl-clutchers felt that celebs should avoid such TMI, especially with young fans watching.
As if one shocker wasn’t enough, Jackson also declared he has absolutely no criteria when it comes to choosing a partner.
“I don’t have standards. As long as you’re a person, it’s enough!”
He explained that chemistry matters more than checklists: “What’s important is whether we get along. Things like this can’t really be defined with standards.”
