Mario Ho & Supermodel Ming Xi Finally Get Their Fairytale French Wedding After 7 Years
The couple, who registered their marriage in 2019 and share two children, celebrated their long-awaited wedding at Mont Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site in France.
Seven years after registering their marriage, Mario Ho, the son of the late casino magnate Stanley Ho, and his Chinese supermodel wife Ming Xi have finally said "I do" in the wedding of their dreams.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony on June 1 at France's Mont Saint-Michel, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage site known for its medieval abbey and breathtaking architecture.
The wedding was themed "A Promise Fulfilled", a nod to the years that had passed since they officially tied the knot in 2019. The celebration had reportedly been postponed multiple times due to family matters.
Sharing photos from the long-awaited celebration on Weibo, the couple simply captioned their posts: "Our anniversary +1".
The images showed Ming, 37, looking radiant in an elegant white off-the-shoulder gown with a fitted bodice, voluminous skirt and dramatic cathedral-length veil.
According to Chinese media reports, the dress was the first haute couture bridal creation by Dior's newly appointed creative director Jonathan Anderson.
Mario, 31, looked equally dapper in a black double-breasted tailcoat paired with a white shirt and bow tie.
Set against ancient stone walls, Gothic arches and a sea of pink and white blooms, the ceremony looked like something straight out of a European royal wedding.
Adding a heartwarming touch, the couple's children — six-year-old son Ronaldo and daughter Romee, four — served as flower boy and flower girl.
The celebrations drew a star-studded guest list including Olympic skiing champ Eileen Gu and Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang, who was one of the groomsmen.
Mario and Ming Xi reportedly plan to have a separate thank-you banquet in Macau this September.
Ahead of the wedding, the couple hosted a lavish welcome dinner, where Ming Xi turned heads in a powder-blue Dior gown accessorised with more than HK$50mil (S$8.7mil) worth of Graff diamonds.
