Thai-Chinese Star Lingling Kwong’s Char Siew Stall Sells Out Within 30mins On Opening Day

To say that Thai-Chinese star Lingling Kwong, 30, is popular would be an understatement.

The actress, who spent the first 17 years of her life in Hong Kong before moving to Thailand, where she began her showbiz career, is best known for starring in Thai girls’ love (GL) dramas The Secret of Us (2024) and Only You (2025).

Thanks to the success of these shows, Lingling has seen a surge in her popularity.

During a fan meet in 2024, Lingling even received over S$367K in cash from her adoring fans.

As if we needed further proof of her popularity, Lingling’s new business venture in Bangkok, a Hong Kong-style roast meat stall, has also received an outpouring of love from her supporters.

Named Kwong Kee Roast and located near Chulalongkorn University, the stall is a co-owned by Lingling and her younger brother.

The stall's signature char siew dishes were previously only available for pre-orders through the Line Shopping app.

Though it looks like eatery, it currently only operates as a takeout counter and ordering will also have to be done through the Grab app.

Kwong Kee Roast was open for business from 4pm to 9pm on the first day. Not that it mattered as everything was sold out within 30 minutes.

Pictures taken by passers-by also saw Grab delivery riders crowding the storefront waiting to collect their orders.

This is not Lingling’s first venture into F&B. She started a char siew business with her brother a few years back, but it ceased operations before Lingling’s acting career took off.
