Ken Chu Says Online Bullying Took a Toll as He Apologises For His Comments Amid F4 Reunion Concert Chaos

The apology from the 46-year-old F4 member, who has been excluded from all concerts with his fellow bandmates, comes just days after he dismissed Mayday’s Ashin’s reunion remarks as “polite talk.”

Ken Chu Says Online Bullying Took a Toll as He Apologises For His Comments Amid F4 Reunion Concert Chaos

Is Ken Chu finally ready to call a ceasefire — not just with his fellow F4 members, but also with Mayday’s agency, B’in Music?

The feud began a few months ago when Ken, 46, revealed unconfirmed details about F4’s reunion plans during a livestream — a move that reportedly affected the project.

He later claimed that following those disclosures, as well as his refusal to comply with unspecified demands, B’in Music allegedly cut off contact with him and excluded him from all upcoming F4 performances, including the most recent shows in Shanghai last week.

The remaining members — Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Vanness Wu — went on to perform with Mayday’s Ashin instead.

Since then, Ken’s relationship with B’in Music has grown increasingly strained, leaving fans pessimistic about whether a full F4 reunion could ever happen again.

But now, there appears to be an unexpected plot twist.

Yesterday (Dec 25), Ken took to social media to issue a public apology for his earlier remarks about the agency.

“Amid the constant barrage of malicious private messages, I lost emotional control and made inappropriate remarks while communicating privately with others,” he admitted.

He explained that since F4’s high-profile reunion at Mayday’s concert in September this year, he has “continuously suffered from online bullying”, which placed “enormous strain on [his] mental state”.

“Recently, the situation has worsened, not only seriously disrupting my normal work routine but also unjustly impacting the peaceful lives of my family members, leaving me physically and mentally exhausted.”

Ken went on to apologise for causing unnecessary speculation and for consuming public resources due to his careless remarks, extending his “sincere apologies to the public”.

“After the controversy arose, I deeply reflected on my words and actions. In the face of disputes, I failed to restrain my emotions with a rational attitude and did not handle the situation appropriately, setting a poor example,” he wrote.

“Going forward, I will be more cautious with my words and actions, and I ask for everyone to view online commentary rationally.”

The apology came as a surprise, given that Ken had still been taking veiled shots at Mayday’s Ashin just days earlier.

At F3’s final concert with Ashin on Dec 22, the Mayday frontman addressed the crowd while referencing Ken’s absence.

Ashin said Ken “wasn’t able to make it temporarily” and added that he would “continue to work hard” toward making a full reunion happen.

The following day, screenshots of what appeared to be Ken’s messages in a fan group began circulating online.

When fans asked about Ashin’s comments regarding a possible reunion, Ken reportedly replied candidly: “He’s said it several times already, but I haven’t received any information on my end at all.”

He also described Ashin’s remarks as “just polite talk” and told fans to “listen and let it go”.

Whether this apology marks a genuine turning point — or merely a temporary truce — remains to be seen.
