Jackie Chan Reportedly Considering To Include Estranged Daughter Etta Ng In His Will

Hollywood icon Jackie Chan famously said in 2011 that he has no plans to leave any part of his estate to his children and wants to donate his entire fortune, reportedly worth HK$117B (S$1.95B), to charity. But recent reports suggest that he may have changed his mind.

The 71-year-old reportedly has plans to allocate a small part of his estate for ongoing family support that includes his wife, Lin Fengjiao, and son, Jaycee Chan, and potentially his estranged daughter, Etta Ng.

While the inclusion of Etta in his will remains unconfirmed, Hong Kong laws require that a beneficiary be explicitly named in one's will in order for them to receive any inheritance.

Etta, born in 1999 from Jackie’s affair with former Hong Kong actress Elaine Ng, has been estranged from both parents for years.

Jackie reportedly cut off all contact with Elaine and Etta shortly after her birth.

Over the years, Etta has made headlines for her financial struggles and was once allegedly spotted queuing at a soup kitchen in Canada for free food in 2022, prompting rumours she was homeless.

Recently, she was spotted in Hong Kong running a street stall in Mongkok selling hand-painted clothes she designed.

Etta has allegedly stated she does not need Jackie’s inheritance. In 2015, she said in an interview that Jackie had never existed in her life and never regarded him as a father.

She reportedly also told the media that she would “rather be homeless and eat stale bread than to reunite with her mum”.

Back in 2015, Etta also called the cops on her mum, accusing her of child abuse and having an alcohol problem, and later saying she only did that to get professional help for Elaine.

Just recently, Elaine shared via a livestream that she hasn’t seen her daughter in over two years.

When Etta married social media influencer Andi Autumn in November 2018, she declared in a now-deleted Instagram post: “A home is with the family that you can choose, and with that we are never alone. Love is undoubtedly stronger than blood”.

Andi has also clarified that the couple weren’t homeless, despite Etta posting a YouTube video claiming they were due to “homophobic parents”.
