Idy Chan Just Turned 64, Fans Say Still An "Ethereal Beauty" Like Her Iconic Xiao Long Nu Character
Her last onscreen role was in 2012, but Idy's still very popular with the fans.

Since her last starring role in TVB drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles in 2012, Hong Kong former actress Idy Chan has largely kept a low profile — save for the occasional appearance at charity events.
But that doesn’t mean fans have forgotten her.
Known for her turn as Xiao Long Nu aka Little Dragon Girl in the 1983 TVB adaptation of Jin Yong’s wuxia novel Return of the Condor Heroes, Idy never fails to cause a stir whenever she makes an appearance on someone’s social media.
She recently celebrated her 64th birthday (Mar 25) with fans and snaps from the party have sent the internet into a frenzy.
“Because we know that everyone misses Idy, we have new pictures that we want to share with you,” wrote a fan in the caption.
Idy, who sported a bob, looked radiant, not to mention way younger than her 64 years.
Several fans commented on her "ethereal beauty" and how she still possesses a "fairy-like" elegance like Little Dragon Girl.
Well, she is said to best embody the character. Even Andy Lau, who played Idy's onscreen love interest Yang Guo in the drama, was rumoured to have a crush on her.
He decided not to act on his feelings when he found out she was dating Chow Yun Fat, whom she starred alongside in 1978’s Vanity Fair.
Idy was reportedly the movie legend's first love and he was so distraught when they broke up that he allegedly attempted suicide. Yikes.
Idy went on to marry casino tycoon Peter Chan a year later in 1984, but they divorced in 1992.
