Chinese Actress Zhang Yuxi Was Beaten Up In Middle School By A Group Of Boys After Rejecting One Of Their Friends
Not cool at all.

Chinese actress Zhang Yuxi, 34, made her showbiz debut in 2013 and has long been known to be strikingly beautiful.
Yuxi, who has starred in popular dramas including My Little Princess (2016) and Love and Redemption (2020), has always been pretty. She won the Rayli Kanebo Beauty Competition at the age of 18, years before she even started her acting career.
Some may say that those blessed with good looks get treated better, but Yuxi’s experience was the exact opposite.
The actress recently opened up about an incident where she was bullied in middle school (students in middle school are aged 12-15).
A boy who'd found Yuxi attractive had confessed his feelings for her with the intention of pursuing her. However, Yuxi had turned him down.
The boy did not take rejection well, and later got his group of friends to join him in taking ‘revenge’ on Yuxi. They ganged up on her at a video store near her school gate, and took turns to kick her.
Yuxi, who had on white pants that day, was left with dirty shoe prints all over her clothing.
Thankfully, the owner of the video store intervened and threatened to call the police on the group of boys. It was only then that they left Yuxi alone.
The incident happened over 20 years ago, and though Yuxi was able to smile while recounting the experience, netizens felt extremely bad for her.
“It is not funny at all, what she went through was torture,” wrote one netizen, while another commented: “She might be smiling now, but imagine how frightened she must have been back then.”
There were also those who said that “kids who are ugly or too beautiful” are often bullied the most.
Some individuals also called for Yuxi to reveal the names of the guys so they can start a witch hunt, and honestly… we don’t blame them for feeling so angry on Yuxi’s behalf.
