Irene Wan's Husband Yanks Their Adopted Son Back When He Tries To Kiss Her At Birthday Party

Hong Kong actress Irene Wan turned 59 on July 30, celebrating the occasion with a lavish party thrown by her businessman husband, Kenneth Ho, and their 16-year-old adopted son, Xavier.

But what was meant to be a heartwarming family moment quickly turned awkward — and viral.

In a video making the rounds online, the family-of-three was posing for photos when Xavier leaned in to kiss Irene on the cheek.

Just as he was about to plant the kiss, Kenneth, who was standing between them, suddenly yanked Xavier by the collar, pulling him back with a stern expression.

Sensing the tension, Irene quickly gestured Xavier to stand on her other side and kiss her hair.  

Kenneth’s actions sparked a wave of speculation online.

While some netizens believed he was being overly possessive and didn’t want Xavier getting too affectionate with Irene, others speculated that the teen may have lost his balance, and Kenneth simply pulled him back to prevent him from falling.

Irene and Kenneth Ho married in 2000 and do not have kids of their own. They adopted Xavier, who was abandoned at a train station in China, in 2010.

Xavier attended the prestigious Diocesan Boys’ School Primary Division in Hong Kong and in 2022, furthered his education at The Bement School in the United States.
