Carina Lau's Handsome Architect Nephew Draws Attention For Resemblance To Tony Leung

Carina Lau has always been close to her family and often shares glimpses of their gatherings on social media.

One familiar face on her feed is her nephew, Jeff Lau.

Now 31, Jeff graduated from the University of Nottingham nine years ago and recently reached a major career milestone: becoming a registered architect with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects.

Naturally, proud aunt Carina couldn't resist celebrating.

She shared a series of photos with Jeff, with the pair dressed in black and proudly showing off his certificates. In one shot, Carina even playfully pretended to kiss him on the cheek.

“A round of applause for our family’s architect Jeff! Your hard work and talent have truly paid off. The blueprints for the future are now in your hands, so go boldly define your own spaces and era. Keep shining!” penned Carina.

Jeff quickly caught netizens' attention for his tall, slender frame and good looks, with some praising him for having "both talent and looks".

Others were more direct: “He’s so handsome!”

But it was the final photo, featuring Jeff alongside Carina's husband, Tony Leung, that really got people talking.

Netizens couldn't help noticing a resemblance between the two, with many saying Jeff's features and overall vibe reminded them of his famous uncle.

“Wow, they really look alike!” read one comment.

Carina is known to dote on Jeff and has supported him throughout his studies and career.

She was previously reported to have rewarded him with a luxury car after his graduation, while rumours also surfaced years ago that she planned to leave her HK$800 million (S$142 million) fortune to him.

With Jeff now officially a registered architect, it looks like proud aunt Carina has yet another reason to celebrate.
