Carina Lau Says She Lets Husband Tony Leung Have His Way 90% Of The Time
She's now his manager though she wouldn't want the job if she had her way.
In 2018, Tony decided against extending his contract with Wong Kar Wai’s company Jet Tone Films to become a free agent. Carina then assumed the role as Tony's manager while he searched for a suitable candidate.
The search for Tony's new manager has been tough
Two years later and Carina is still her husband’s manager as he hasn’t found someone he can trust with the job.
At the recent Weibo Awards Ceremony, Carina revealed: “I’m doing my best to help him with his schedule during this transition period (…) However, I don’t want to work with him in the long term as we’ll have professional disagreements.”
Carina also said that their disputes are mostly solved by her giving in to him, adding that she lets him have his way 90 per cent of the time.
What an amazing woman
“I think he’s grateful to me as I’ve been working very hard to help and protect him (…)," she said. "I want to protect him ‘cos he’s an outstanding actor. He’s not good at holding discussions and communicating with others as he’s introverted, which is why I felt that I should help him in this aspect.”
