Ashin Met Apple CEO John Ternus At The Apple Event And People Are Shocked To Find Out They're The Same Age

Yesterday (Sep 9) marked the highly anticipated Apple Event, where John Ternus, 51, made his debut as the company’s CEO at its annual product launch.

We saw plenty of celebrities — including Blackpink Rosé — getting hyped over the new iPhone 18 Pro series, as well as Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo.

Mayday's Ashin was no exception.

The 50-year-old was one of the guests invited to the keynote event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. He shared a selfie showing off his event pass, excitedly captioning it: “Fifth row in the front section!”

“If you had told us 25 years ago that, one day, everyone in the future would carry a small black box in their hands and spend so much time with it every day, we would have found it hard to believe,” wrote the Mayday frontman in a Facebook post.

Ashin also shared a photo with John, remarking that it was a "great pleasure" to meet him in person. But netizens were in for a surprise after doing a quick background check on the two.

What many did not expect was that they were both born in 1975, meaning they are basically the same age. The Apple CEO, who was born in May, is merely six months older than Ashin, whose birthday falls in December.

One netizen even jokingly asked Ashin: “How much preservative do you consume? I’ve already aged, but Ashin still looks exactly the same.”
