Robert De Niro, 83, Shares Pic With 3-Year-Old Daughter He Has With Martial Arts Champ Girlfriend
Gia is the youngest of his seven children — and 51 years younger than his eldest.
Robert De Niro may be one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors, but one role he clearly cherishes is being a dad.
The 83-year-old recently shared a rare photo with his three-year-old daughter Gia on social media.
“My daughter and I! I love being your father, Gia,” he wrote alongside the sweet father-daughter snap.
De Niro has also previously shared glimpses of his quieter life with Gia, revealing that he enjoys spending time with her and watching children’s shows together.
De Niro welcomed Gia with his girlfriend, 46-year-old martial arts instructor Tiffany Chen, in 2023, when he was 79.
Tiffany is an accomplished martial artist and the daughter of tai chi grandmaster William C.C. Chen. She has won numerous martial arts titles, and at 26, was inducted into Inside Kung-Fu magazine’s Hall of Fame as Competitor of the Year.
In fact, it was her martial arts background that brought her and De Niro together.
They first met on the set of his 2015 comedy The Intern, in which Tiffany played a tai chi instructor who teaches De Niro’s character.
There was no romance at the time. Tiffany previously said they got back in touch a few years later and their friendship eventually developed into something more. The couple were first publicly linked in 2021.
Two years later, they welcomed Gia, De Niro’s seventh child.
His eldest child, Drena, 54, is 51 years older than Gia.
De Niro adopted Drena, his first wife Diahnne Abbott’s daughter from a previous relationship, after they married. He and Diahnne also have a son, Raphael, 49.
Following their divorce, De Niro dated actress Toukie Smith, with whom he has twins Julian and Airyn, 30.
He later married actress Grace Hightower, and they have two children, Elliot, 28, and Helen, 14.
