No, Shane Pow Isn’t Working At TikTok, Despite What His Video Suggests

Though from the looks of it, he wouldn’t mind.

If you follow local actor Shane Pow on TikTok, you might have caught his latest video titled “A day in my life working in TikTok”.

It kicks off like any classic “day in the life” clip — Shane, 34, strolling through the office, eyeing the free lunch spread, and watching staff unwind over a game of foosball.

His caption? “Start of my #corporatelife.”

Wait, what? Shane’s gone corporate? Has he traded acting for a tech gig? So many questions.

Fans were just as curious, with celeb pals like comedian Jaspers Lai and Mediacorp actor Benjamin Tan jokingly asking him to “intro [them] a job there too”. (We wouldn’t mind either.)

When 8days.sg reached out to Shane, he clarified that he was only at the TikTok office for a day.

“I went there for a meeting, so I shot some content. It was just for fun,” he laughed.

And it’s not like he has time for a full-time corporate job anyway. He just launched  home-based banana bread business Taiyo Bread Shop earlier this year and is currently filming a project till October.

He declined to reveal more, saying they are “discussing how [they] can work together”.

Sharp-eyed netizens also pointed out that he was wearing a visitor pass.

So no, Shane isn’t clocking in at TikTok, though from the looks of it, he wouldn’t mind.

One of the perks of working at TikTok? Free lunch.
Post-lunch food coma is real.
He's the sort of who office worker will bao tou colleages.
