Shane Pow's Mum Had Doubts About Filming A Cooking Video With Him; The Internet Stepped In To Cheer Her On

Sometimes, we come across the Internet at its absolute sweetest, and this is one of those moments.

In a recent Instagram reel, local actor Shane Pow invited his mum to prepare one of his favourite dishes with him. 

“Ever since I moved out to live on my own, there’s one dish I’ve missed dearly: my mum’s braised dishes. When I was younger, whenever she cooked it, I could eat at least three bowls of rice," gushed the 35-year-old actor.

Shane’s mum, however, totally stole the limelight with her adorable antics right from the start.

It all started when the actor's mum expressed doubt if people would watch the video, and he assured her that "many people would".

"Is that so? Then my top's sleeveless, [my arms] would look very fat. You didn't tell me [many people would watch this]," his mum exclaimed.

Shane's response? "People will say you're very pretty. Really, people would say you're very pretty," stressed the actor.

And let's just say the Internet totally delivered.

Not only was Shane's comments flooded with compliments for his mother, even his showbiz pals had chimed in with their praises.

"The prettiest mummy," gushed Kym Ng while Malaysian actress Tracy Lee chimed in: "Mummy [Pow], you're gorgeous and have such great culinary skills."

Taiwanese ex-Mediacorp actress Kate Pang also commended his mum's beauty, adding: "Your complexion is so good".
