Ronald Cheng Spotted With Woman At Universal Studios Singapore
The Hong Kong singer, who finalised his divorce last year, appeared relaxed and in good spirits during a CNY getaway to Singapore with a female companion.
Singapore seemed to be the hotspot for Hong Kong stars over the Chinese New Year holidays.
Besides Raymond Lam, Bobby Au-Yeung and Simon Yam, singer Ronald Cheng was also spotted in town — and he wasn’t alone.
The 53-year-old, who ended his 14-year marriage to former television anchor Sammie Yu last June, was seen enjoying a day out with a woman at Universal Studios Singapore.
The pair were photographed riding a roller coaster together, laughing heartily and looking completely carefree.
A netizen who bumped into Ronald on the first day of CNY shared a snap with him online, revealing that they met while he was queuing for the Enchanted Airways ride.
“We made eye contact and I immediately recognised him,” the fan wrote on Xiaohongshu. “He was very nice and agreed to take a photo. After that, we wished each other Happy New Year. Such a coincidence!”
In the photo, Ronald was dressed casually in a white T-shirt, cargo pants and holding an umbrella.
He looked relaxed and in good spirits, following months of headlines surrounding his divorce and earlier reports involving his former manager Ho Hing Sheung.
In September 2024, Ronald ended his decade-long professional relationship with Hing Sheung, citing “work and moral issues”.
While the identity of the female companion remains unknown, their cheerful interaction has sparked fresh curiosity among netizens.
Ronald shares 14-year-old daughter, Emma, and 10-year-old son, Evan, with Sammie. The pair finalised their divorce proceedings last year following closed-door hearings.
He had previously issued a statement denying rumours offering to pay Sammie just HK$8K (S$1.36K) in monthly alimony, calling the claims inaccurate.
