Pan Lingling Gets Ang Pow From SM Lee Hsien Loong During Festive Walkabout

Chinese New Year came early for Mediacorp actress Pan Lingling, complete with ang pow and a photo op.

With the Chinese New Year just two weeks away, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong spent Sunday (Feb 1) morning at Ang Mo Kio’s Teck Ghee division, where he is the MP, spreading festive cheer.

During the walkabout, SM Lee distributed ang pows and interacted with residents and stallholders at Teck Ghee Court Market and Food Centre.

Turns out, Lingling was also at the food centre and later took to Instagram to share snaps about her encounter with SM Lee.

Dressed in a white casual outfit and cap, Lingling couldn’t hide her joy as she shook hands and posed for photos with SM Lee, drawing plenty of curious (and excited) onlookers nearby.

She wrote that the day was filled with generous gestures and festive spirit and seeing SM Lee happily handing out ang pow felt “truly heartwarming”.
