Pan Lingling Reveals What Huang Shinan Could Say to Make Her Leave Their 28-Year Marriage
Good communication can make — or break — a relationship.
On a recent episode of Mediacorp current affairs show Hello Singapore, celeb couple Pan Lingling and Huang Shinan revealed what their respective dealbreaker comments would be if ever uttered in their 28-year marriage.
Lingling and Shinan tied the knot in 1997 and have two sons, Beckham, 25, and Kynaston, 23.
"My husband, if he ever says this to me: 'The more I look at you, the more I dislike you', let me tell you, I would definitely leave," the 55-year-old actress said without hesitation.
Fair enough. Why stay with someone who gets annoyed just from looking at you? Shinan ‘ick, however, is a lot milder.
"[If she] keeps comparing me with others, I would think I'm no longer important to her," said Shinan, 64.
"Of course, I would still stay on and only walk away when you tell me you don't want [this relationship] anymore."
The couple also shared how they keep the spark alive.
According to Lingling, it’s about never losing that first-love feeling.
“When I married Shinan, I told him I wanted to hold on to that dating-stage, first-love feeling,” she shared.
That means staying close physically. Literally.
“I really enjoy it when he holds my hand or hugs me,” said a visibly smitten Lingling.
At that point, Shinan smiled, leaned over, and took her hand.
No wonder these two are still going strong after almost three decades. Relationship goals, indeed.
