Song Hye-Kyo Steals Spotlight At The Blue Dragon Film Awards Amid Buzz About Possibly Running Into Her Exes

Korean stars such as Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin, Yoona, and Ahn Bo-hyun were winners at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards in Seoul on November 19. But many are calling Song Hye Kyo, 44, the real victor of the night, even if she didn't win the Best Actress award for her role in thriller film Dark Nuns.

Prior to the awards show, the actress faced media speculation and gossip about how she would run into her exes at the event, and potentially share a frame with them at the event, making for "awkward reunions". 

Korean media had stirred up anticipation and chatter, keying in on the fact that Hye Kyo's exes, Lee Byung Hun and Hyun Bin, would both be appearing at the awards ceremony. 

She dated Lee Byung Hun from 2003 to 2004, after meeting on the set of the drama All In, and later was in a relationship with Hyun Bin for about two years, from 2009 to 2011, after meeting on the set of 2008’s Worlds Within. 

Hyun Bin married Son Ye Jin in 2022, while Lee Byung Hun tied the knot with actress Lee Min Jung in 2013.

Yet, when Korea's hottest it-couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were announced as Best Actor and Best Actress respectively, Hye Kyo openly applauded them from her seat with a grin on her face, without the slightest hint of awkwardness or discomfort. 

She remained cheerful despite not bagging an award, and later shared photos from the night on her Instagram stories. 

Her composure brought to mind her mindset she once spoke about: "If something isn't meant for me, then it can go to someone else."

Hye Kyo is no stranger to her love life making headlines. Her split with Song Joong Ki in 2019 after less than two years of marriage received plenty of attention, but she mostly remained private about what happened, only revealing that she coped with her divorce by keeping a daily gratitude journal, writing down things she was thankful for each day. 

Following the awards ceremony, the internet is abuzz with how she stole the show with her effortless grace and beauty. She quickly topped trending searches online, with one netizen gushing: "She's so beautiful that it's almost as if she's on a different level as everyone else!" 

Dressed in a light pink tulle gown, she stunned the audience every time she was caught on camera.

She was praised for her "ageless beauty" and her calm, elegant demeanour as she sat in the audience, celebrating the wins of her colleagues.
