People Think Shawn Yue, 42, Resembles 66-Year-Old Chinese Actor Ge You In Recent Pics

Earlier this week (Jan 27), a netizen bumped into Hong Kong star Shawn Yue, 42, on the streets of Shanghai, and was lucky enough to get a photo with him.

The Infernal Affairs star was dressed inconspicuously in a cap and simple grey jacket, but the thing that caught the eye of many was how “old” and “haggard” he looked. The photo has since gone viral online, with a handful of netizens pointing out how tired his eyes appeared to be.

Many were shocked to see the recent “state” of the actor, who has always been known for his good looks.

“He’s not handsome anymore. Edison Chen looks better than him now,” read a comment.

Some even said that Shawn now bears resemblance to 66-year-old veteran Chinese actor, Ge You.

Um okay, that’s quite a stretch. Even the most handsome actors have their off days, right?

Shawn had cleared out all the pictures from his Instagram account on the last day of 2023, only leaving a photo of flowers with a caption that read: “Reset and restart. Wish you all a Happy New Year.”

All that did was fuel existing rumours that he was having marriage troubles with his wife of six years, Taiwanese model Sarah Wang, 35.

Shawn would later explain that he was merely “tidying up” his social media space. He and Sarah were also spotted together with their two kids, Cody, five, and three-year-old Celest, at a park on a following occasion, quelling rumours of a split.

Still, it didn’t take long for netizens to dive back into the same speculations, all because the couple was seen standing far apart from each other in pictures from a gathering.

It left many wondering if his recent “haggard” look had anything to do with those rumoured relationship problems.
