Shawn Yue, 39, and his 32-year-old wife, Taiwanese model Sarah Wang, recently welcomed their second kid, a girl, into their family.

There had been rumours that their daughter was born weeks before their big announcement and Shawn never addressed the speculation until December 5, when he confirmed that his daughter was born prematurely.

“I’m thankful for the concern that everyone has shown. Mei Mei was born some time ago, but we didn’t say anything because her condition wasn't stable,” Shawn wrote. “She’s passed that stage now and she’s back home [with us].”

The actor also shared his daughter's Chinese name ‘Chu Xin’, which he says was inspired by the Chinese saying that means ‘Don’t forget your original intentions’.

Sarah also shared a similar post on her Instagram. “Our little fairy is home. Our daughter couldn’t wait to meet us, but she was in such a rush that she was born way too early. That’s why we didn’t tell everyone about her [until now]. She’s now managed to overcome all the difficulties and has come home with us.”
