Moviegoer Alleges Grace Chan Did Not Stop Sons From Disrupting Spider-Man Screening

Going to the movies is meant to be a fun escape, but what happens when a few noisy moviegoers spoil the experience for everyone else?

Recently, a netizen took to social media to complain about three children she encountered while watching the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

According to the post, the netizen was at a cinema in Admiralty's Pacific Place around noon on July 30 when three children seated in the front row allegedly talked loudly, shouted and laughed throughout the Marvel film.

It was only after the movie ended and the lights came on that the netizen realised the woman sitting beside the children was Hong Kong actress Grace Chan.

The 35-year-old star shares three sons — Rafael, Yannick and Carlos, aged seven, five and three — with former TVB actor Kevin Cheng.

The netizen alleged that Grace did not intervene despite her children's disruptive behaviour, and criticised the actress for failing to show consideration to fellow moviegoers.

She also argued that, as a public figure, Grace should understand and set an example when it comes to basic cinema etiquette.

Grace has yet to respond to the allegations as of press time but perhaps the cinema's biggest plot twist wasn't in Spider-Man after all.
