Jet Li Gives Eldest Daughter S$55K Car As Wedding Gift, Youngest Daughter Reminds Him to “Be Fair”

While attending a recent event for a car brand, martial arts superstar Jet Li, 62, revealed that his eldest daughter, Si Li, has tied the knot.

To mark the joyous occasion, Jet shared that he ordered a brand-new electric car worth about 300,000 yuan (S$54,960) as a wedding gift for her.

He was accompanied at the event by his youngest daughter, Jada, who took the opportunity to give her father a playful reminder.

Jet revealed that Si Li had specifically requested a car from a domestic brand for her wedding. Laughing, he recalled: "My youngest daughter said, 'You have to remember — you have four daughters. You must be fair!'"

As the guests burst into laughter at his predicament, Jet jokingly added: "What if I end up having four sons-in-law?" — hinting that he may have to prepare similar car “dowries” for all four daughters in the future.

Jet has two daughters, Si Li and Taimi Li, now both in their thirties, from his first marriage to Huang Qiuyan. The couple divorced in 1991.

He later married ’90s screen goddess Nina Li Chi, and they share two daughters, Jane and Jada, who are now 25 and 23 respectively.

Jet rarely speaks publicly about his first marriage, but once shared candidly on a show: "At that time, I was young. A woman loved me, and I thought I loved her too, so we got married and had children. Later, at a certain stage of my life, I met another woman I truly loved — so much that I could die for her, give up fame and fortune, and sacrifice everything. I was fired up every day, I knew it was love."

He continued: "So I went back to my first wife and said 'I'm sorry, I was wrong. I've found my true love. All I can do is give you everything I have, and my money as compensation.' My ex-wife is a very good person, and what happened back then was my fault," he said.
