HK Teen Hailed As Hero For Hilarious Way He Deals With Rude Auntie Hurling Abuse At Boy On Train
The teen diverted the woman's anger towards himself, then hilariously turned her insults into an impromptu rap battle.
How do you deal with someone who just won't stop yelling at you?
For one Hong Kong teenager, the answer was simple: Give them a taste of their own medicine. Literally.
The teen has gone viral for his hilarious response to a middle-aged woman who repeatedly hurled insults at him aboard an MTR train.
Instead of losing his temper, he simply repeated everything she said, turning the confrontation into an impromptu rap battle.
The incident reportedly took place on Hong Kong's Island Line on October 18.
According to reports, the woman had started verbally abusing passengers, including a boy and his mum, when the teen stepped in.
That only made him her next target.
In videos circulating online, the woman can be heard repeatedly calling him "trash" in Mandarin and "beggar" in Cantonese.
Unfazed, the teen parrots her words right back at her, matching her rhythm and tone.
He even pulls funny faces, takes selfies and dances, all while maintaining a cheeky smile.
His antics amused fellow passengers, some of whom could be heard laughing.
Talk about keeping your cool.
The woman even followed him off the train, continuing to berate him as he posed for a selfie.
The teen later explained on Threads that he had intervened because the woman was swearing at a child, and he wanted to divert her anger towards himself.
He also apologised to fellow commuters for the disruption.
Thankfully, things never turned physical, and nobody was hurt.
His handling of the situation has since won him widespread praise online.
"The young man really spared the other passengers a lot of stress," praised one netizen, while another thanked him for turning the confrontation into something funny.
"Learned a new trick. Next time someone comes at me, I'll just smile and mimic them back... bet that would drive them absolutely nuts," joked another.
