Aaron Kwok, 61, Rumoured To Be Trying For 4th Child, A Son, After Feng Shui Makeover At Home
A feng shui master predicts the Heavenly King, who has three daughters, could welcome a son within the next three years.
Is Aaron Kwok trying for a son?
The 61-year-old Hong Kong Heavenly King, who welcomed his third daughter with wife Moka Fang, 39, last year, has reportedly changed the feng shui arrangement at his luxury home, sparking speculation that he's hoping for a boy.
The couple have three daughters: Chantelle, seven, Charlotte, four, and Cheryl, one.
According to Hong Kong magazine East Week, the rooftop of Aaron's Tai Hang home has undergone a rather interesting makeover.
A statue previously placed there to ward off negative energy has been replaced with three guardian lions.
Feng shui master Au Chung Tak told the magazine that the new arrangement, known as the “Three Lions Assembly Formation”, is believed to ward off negative energy and protect young children.
Together with an existing arrangement of nine golden dragons outside the house, which symbolises the continuation of the family line, he predicts Aaron could welcome a son within three years.
The feng shui master also claimed that construction works nearby over the past few years may have disrupted the home's feng shui, affecting Aaron's chances of having a son.
With construction now completed, the new arrangement is said to help guard the home rather than simply block negative energy.
Interestingly, all Four Heavenly Kings — Aaron, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai — have daughters, earning them the nickname “Four Heavenly Father-in-Laws”.
Of course, there's no confirmation that Aaron made the changes specifically to have a son.
In fact, he has repeatedly said he has no preference when it comes to the gender of his children.
When Moka was pregnant with their third child last year, rumours were rife that the couple were finally expecting a boy.
They welcomed another girl instead and Aaron couldn't be happier.
Describing his family as a “household of goddesses”, he said he was the luckiest man in the world to be loved by four goddesses.
Moka also made it clear that gender has never been a condition for their love.
Still, Aaron, who grew up in a family of five siblings, has previously expressed his wish to have four children.
At a concert in Shenzhen this September, a fan even shouted for him to try for a son.
Aaron reportedly looked towards Moka in the audience before waving his hands and laughing off the suggestion.
“We'll leave it to fate. I'm already very happy. I have three daughters, and I believe it's all destined,” he said.
