Heavenly King Jacky Cheung and wife May Lo have always kept their two daughters largely out of the public eye, so it’s no surprise that when recent photos believed to be of their elder daughter Zoe, 26, made the rounds online, they got netizens talking.

In the pics, the woman sports blonde-highlighted hair, sun-kissed skin and a toned physique, and is seen in outfits ranging from a crop top and leather skirt to a red strappy top. Tattoos are also visible on her arms.

Netizens described her as giving off “ABC hottie” vibes, while many thought she bore a striking resemblance to mum May in her younger days.

But there’s been some debate over whether the woman in all the pics is actually Zoe.

While many believe it’s Zoe based on comparisons with her older photos, others have speculated that some of the pics could be of her younger sister Zia, 20.

Previously seen snaps of Zoe.

The last time Zoe was photographed in public was in 2019, when she attended several nights of her dad’s concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

She even sat in the front row on one night, where she was seen interacting with Jacky — a rare public father-daughter moment.

Zoe has attracted her share of attention over the years.

In 2017, then-16-year-old Zoe made headlines after sharing pics of herself hugging a Caucasian guy named Mathis Ekkebus, with the pair exchanging “I love you” messages online.

When netizens noticed that Mathis' relationship status was listed as “married”, rumours quickly spread that Zoe was dating a married man.

Jacky later stepped in to clear things up, saying the two were simply friends and that his daughter wasn't dating anyone.

He also explained that Zoe attended an international school and had a more Westernised outlook, so saying “love” to friends wasn't unusual for her.

As for her future relationships, Jacky said he was pretty chill about it. He would give his daughter freedom to choose her own friends and joked that when it came to choosing a partner, it wasn't up to him anyway.

She's got brains and beauty.

In 2013, Zoe moved to the UK to study, with Jacky and May hoping the experience would help her become more independent.

However, she struggled to adjust to life overseas.

Jacky and May eventually decided her happiness was more important and supported her decision to return to Hong Kong, where she enrolled at Harrow International School Hong Kong.

After returning, Zoe became actively involved in literary activities at school.

She wrote an English essay titled 365 Days about underprivileged children in China.

The piece earned her a Merit Award at the 2015 Hong Kong Young Writers Awards and was later published in the anthology New Tales of the Pearl River Delta.

Creativity seems to run in the family. Younger sister Zia also reportedly has an interest in visual arts and held a joint exhibition titled Rebirth with artist Chen Zhujun in 2022.

Jacky, meanwhile, has previously described his approach to raising his daughters as pretty hands-off.

He treats Zoe and Zia more like friends, offering advice on everything from their clothes and behaviour to their future plans, but ultimately leaving the decisions to them.

His philosophy? Point out the risks, let them make their own choices and have them take responsibility for those choices.

Sounds like Jacky is one chill dad.
