"No Need To Work Ah?": Super Long Queue At MBS On First Day Of Pop Toy Show
If you needed proof of how popular Pop Mart collectibles are in Singapore, look no further.
The Pop Toy Show Singapore 2025 starts today (Aug 22) and ends on Aug 24 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
The event is essentially a Pop Mart enthusiast's wet dream, featuring exclusive merch, installations, and meet-and-greet sessions with the the artists behind popular characters, like Hirono, Hacipupu, and Sweet Bean, just to name a few.
A video, shared by a Redditor on the r/SingaporeRaw page at around noon today, showed a snaking line of what looked like hundreds of people queuing outside the venue.
Netizens were shocked to see the turnout, with comments like "[Singaporeans] no so free no need work" and "These people don't need to work one ah?".
There were also netizens guessing how many of those in the queue are resellers, or worse, scalpers.
According to a report by Mothership, some people started queueing as early as 4.30am. Premium tickets holders were only allowed in at 9.30am.
Yeah, really pops hor.
