After James Seah Responds To Divorce Rumours, Nicole Chang Min Seemingly Reacts With Cryptic Emojis

Last week, Mediacorp actor James Seah, 35, and his influencer wife Nicole Chang Min, 33, found themselves at the centre of rumours about trouble in their marriage.

James and Nicole had been together for about six years before he proposed in December 2019. The couple tied the knot in January 2022.

Netizens began speculating after noticing the couple had little interaction on social media recently.

Some pointed to Nicole’s cryptic reposts on Instagram, which they felt hinted at a possible split. Several of the posts appeared to allude to relationship issues, including one that read: “Sometimes it doesn’t work out with someone because they’re a piece of s*** who deserves a piece of s*** and you’re not a piece of s***.”

Others noticed that, unlike in previous years when she'd actively rally votes for James during the Star Awards, Nicole was relatively quiet this year. The content creator did not post about the awards show at all, instead sharing only personal updates and events.

Adding to the speculation, a viral clip circulating on social media appeared to show James with a woman at the airport, further fuelling rumours that he had been travelling with someone other than his wife.

Amid the rumours, James posted a statement on his Instagram Stories on the evening of May 1 in response. He referred to the online allegations and speculation as “baseless,” denied the rumours, and urged the public to respect their privacy.

Nicole, on the other hand, posted IG stories about the time of James' post, with one about hoping the new month would treat her kindly and bring her the peace she had prayed for. The post also read: "May this month hold quiet wins, healing, and moments that remind me I'm still growing, still moving forward, and still deserving of good things". 

About three hours after James’ post, Nicole shared another Instagram Story featuring just three “raised eyebrow” emojis, which are often interpreted as a cryptic expression of skepticism.
