You Won’t Believe How Many Fell For This Influencer’s AI Photo With Park Bo-gum
Thanks to artificial intelligence, it’s getting harder than ever to tell what’s real and what’s fake online.
Just look at the responses on local influencer Cheryl Chin's recent Instagram post.
The 23-year-old content creator shared a photo of herself, in a restaurant, sitting next to a man who looks like South Korean actor Park Bo-gum.
“Thanks for such a wonderful catchup while you were here!" she gushed in her caption. She also tagged the star.
We would have thought most people would know that the photo was AI-generated, but apparently not.
In fact, many admitted they were envious that Cheryl got to meet Bo-gum.
Some netizens even admitted they couldn’t tell if the photo was real.
Thankfully, a handful weren’t fooled by the scarily convincing pic. As one fan put it: ‘AI is getting better, but I’ve seen Bo-gum enough to know this is AI.’
Another also quipped that the guy in the photo looks more like local actor Glenn Yong.
Some netizens even thought the post was Cheryl finally revealing the face of her new boyfriend — the so-called ‘Mystery Man’ she went IG official with three months ago.
Cheryl was married to local OnlyFans creator Titus Low for a year-and-a-half before their divorce in November 2023. The pair had clashed over co-parenting rights to their two-year-old daughter, Elleria, who now lives with Cheryl.
