Bonnie Loo Throws Away New Heels After G.E.M Concert Because They Hurt Too Much
The actress learnt the hard way that a concert is probably not the best place to break in a new pair of heels.
Anyone who has suffered through a pair of painful shoes will probably relate to Mediacorp actress Bonnie Loo’s latest Instagram post.
After attending Hong Kong singer G.E.M’s concert at the National Stadium last Saturday (May 23), the 31-year-old shared a video of herself struggling to walk back to her car in a pair of new heels.
“Bought them randomly, now I suffer the consequences,” she captioned the post.
The clip opened with Bonnie enjoying the show, alongside the text: “POV: Me after finishing the concert”, before her friend asked if her feet hurt.
“Hurts like crazy. I wore new shoes today and now I can’t walk anymore,” Bonnie lamented.
Still, she tried to stay positive by referencing G.E.M.’s motivational words from the concert.
“Willpower can overcome everything. I can definitely walk all the way back to my car,” she said while painfully trudging along.
However, Bonnie eventually admitted defeat when her friend pointed out a rubbish bin in the carpark.
Without hesitation, Bonnie tossed her heels inside and groaned: “It hurts so much!”
Her relatable suffering quickly amused fans, with many leaving laughing emojis and sympathetic messages in the comments section.
There were remarks like “A lesson learned” and “Maybe they’ll feel better after wearing them a few more times?”
One netizen even left an unexpectedly philosophical response: “This is both cutting your losses and self-love — not treating suffering as perseverance, and not trading pain for appearances… Going barefoot isn’t the end; it’s making space to find the right pair of shoes.”
Who knew a pair of painful heels could inspire such deep reflections?
