Ex TVB Actress Wallis Pang Said To Be Working As An Insurance Agent Since Leaving Showbiz In 2008
Remember Ah Jing from TVB's long-running A Kindred Spirit?
Former TVB actress Wallis Pang (彭子晴), 49, is best known for her role as 'Ah Jing' in the immensely popular long-running drama A Kindred Spirit, which aired from 1995 to 1999.
Wallis started her showbiz career in 1995, and had starred in several hit dramas including File of Justice IV (1995), Moments of Endearment (1998) and Detective Investigation Files IV (1999).
At one point, she was also lauded as one of “TVB’s Five Beauties” alongside Gigi Fu, Jojo Cho, Joyce Chan and Eileen Yeow.
In 2001, Wallis left TVB for ATV where she had roles in dramas such as Cash is King and Reincarnated Love. She also hosted several travel shows including Merry Go Round.
However, when her contract with ATV ended in 2008, instead of renewing it, Wallis chose to retire from showbiz at 35.
According to Hong Kong media, Wallis started working as an insurance agent after leaving ATV, and doesn’t keep in contact with anyone from showbiz.
The former actress has kept a super low profile but was photographed a couple of years ago shopping at a market.
She still had her trademark long hair, and many netizens felt she looked exactly the same as before.
In 2008, when she was promoting Merry Go Round, Wallis revealed that she had no manager.
At that time, many Hong Kong celebs were moving to the Mainland to further their career and even though Wallis really loved acting, she was unwilling to leave home.
After considering her options, she decided that quitting showbiz was the best move for her.
