Fan Allegedly Poops Their Pants While Queuing Overnight To See Seventeen's Mingyu In Hong Kong

How far would you go just to catch a glimpse of your idol?

Last weekend, Seventeen's Mingyu sparked a fan frenzy when he showed up at Harbour City in Hong Kong's Tsim Sha Tsui for an event. According to Hong Kong media, the 187cm heartthrob drew an unprecedented crowd, with crowds of fans packing the mall for a chance to see him.

But while Mingyu's good looks had everyone talking, a fan's awkward, um, bathroom-related incident ended up stealing some of the spotlight.

To secure the best viewing spots and get as close to their idol as possible, hundreds of fans reportedly gathered along Canton Road outside the mall in the early hours of the morning, with some even waiting overnight.

Many arrived prepared for the long wait, bringing along handheld fans, folding chairs and other essentials to keep themselves comfortable as they camped out for Mingyu.

Once the mall doors finally opened, fans wasted no time rushing inside to claim the coveted spots they had waited so long for.

However, a fan who was present that day later took to Threads to reveal: "This is unbelievable. Someone in our section had a bowel accident and defecated. It smelled absolutely awful!"

According to the post, mall staff quickly sprayed deodoriser around the area in an attempt to clear the unpleasant odour.

Another netizen even alleged that their friend spotted a plastic bag containing a diaper with "yellow and brown things" inside.

"You could even smell it from the second floor, that was how bad it was," read another account.

The incident quickly went viral online, with many expressing their shock over the unfortunate situation.

One netizen offered a more sympathetic take: "Maybe they had been holding it in all night and just couldn't anymore."

The unexpected situation had many wondering just how long fans had been queuing before the unfortunate "accident" occurred, sparking a discussion about the lengths some fans would go to for a chance to be close to their idol.

One fan shared that they arrived at 8am that morning, only to find themselves watching from the mall's second floor — a sign of just how popular Mingyu is among the Hong Kong crowd.

Despite the mishap, the event reportedly went smoothly, with fans remaining enthusiastic throughout and going into a frenzy when Mingyu took the stage. The idol was even said to have gently asked fans to quiet down, at one point covering one ear with his hand so he could hear the host's questions clearly.
