Law Lan, 90, Appears Frail At Event After Falling at Home Earlier This Year
The veteran Hong Kong actress revealed she was hospitalised for eight days following the fall but remains optimistic about her health.

Even at 90, Hong Kong actress Law Lan shows no sign of slowing down.
The veteran star, who’s been in showbiz for over seven decades, remains fiercely dedicated to her craft and continues to appear in new productions.
She recently made an appearance at a mall to promote upcoming TVB blockbuster The Fading Gold.
Starring Roger Kwok, Him Law and Hera Chan, the drama revolves around the power struggles within the wealthy Fong family, owners of a prestigious jewellery empire led by Fong Yeung Tin (played by Roger). Law Lan plays the family matriarch Mrs Fong.
At the event, Law Lan arrived with the help of a friend and a domestic helper, and relied on a walking cane for support when she moved around.
When invited on stage, she had to be steadied by two people holding her by the waist before being helped to a chair that had been prepared for her.
Her frail appearance drew concern from fans and the media.
She later told HK01 that she had fallen at home several months earlier and was hospitalised for eight days.
“One morning around 7am, the house phone rang. I got up in a hurry to answer it, and when I rushed into the living room, I fell flat on the floor,” she recalled.
The pain was so intense that she couldn’t get up, so she asked her helper to call for an ambulance.
“The doctors ran many tests and said I was fine, but I had to go back the next day for physical therapy. I stayed for eight days,” she said, adding that she still feels some pain in her arm now.
Despite the fall, Law Lan remains upbeat about her health. Her body often experiences aches in different places, something that comes with old age.
“You never know what’s going to hurt next! I can go to sleep feeling fine, then wake up and suddenly my leg hurts. But all my friends say it’s normal at our age — it hurts when it wants to, and stops when it feels like it!” she laughed.
