Who needs dating advice when your dad is Gary Chaw?

The Malaysian singer recently revealed that he played a rather important role in helping his 18-year-old son Joe get together with his Korean girlfriend.

At a recent event in Kuala Lumpur, the 47-year-old star told the media: “I helped him woo her. I’m the wingman, I helped him.”

Guess even good-looking guys could use a little help in the dating department.

According to Gary, things might not have moved quite so quickly without a little help from dad.

“Once, we happened to run into her while we were out shopping. Joe’s friend told me she was the girl Joe liked, so I walked over and told her, ‘Do you know my son likes you?’” recalled Gary.

“My son immediately turned red, but a month later, the two of them got together.”

Talk about putting your kid on the spot.

Asked if Joe was grateful for the assist, Gary couldn't hide his smile, saying: “Yes, he’s very filial.”
