Gary Chaw's Son Is Turning 18: Goes Viral Again For His Good Looks

How is Malaysian singer Gary Chaw's son Joe, the bowl-cut cutie from the 2014 Chinese reality show Where Are We Going, Dad?, turning 18 already?

The teen, who has gone viral several times over the years for his good looks, is once again in the spotlight after appearing in a rare video with his mum, Taiwanese fashion blogger Wu Shuling, 47.

In the Videoland News clip, Shuling joked that ever since Joe got a girlfriend, "he doesn't want [her] anymore".

The teen laughed off the remark before revealing that as he prepares to celebrate his 18th birthday, he hopes to earn his own money instead of relying on his parents.

"I should earn it myself," he said, adding that now that he's grown up, he wants to "manage and take care of myself".

Shuling was clearly proud of her son's outlook.

"I think it's great that you have your own thoughts," she told him.

The video comes shortly after Shuling shared photos of herself with Joe on Instagram, prompting netizens to gush over how handsome and grown-up he looks.

One user remarked that Joe looks just like Gary when he smiles — and we can't unsee it either.

Others couldn't believe how quickly time had flown, with one writing: "I still remember him on Where Are We Going, Dad?. I can't believe he's already grown up."

In her caption, Shuling reflected on how quickly Joe has grown up.

"I used to hold his hand when we went out. Now, he carries me on his back," she wrote, adding that although he now complains she's naggy, he still lets her hug him, take photos with him and even piggyback her whenever she asks.
