How An Influencer Caused Hour-Long Queues At Nondescript Salad Shop In Raffles City

Nana has posted about four videos on their offerings since 3 March 2026, gushing about the brand’s hefty, fist-sized wraps — especially her customised order loaded with double portions of pumpkin (about 400 to 500 calories, she adds). Each video racked up about 300K views, hence the current craze.

While there is another Simply Wrapps outlet at Harbour Front, queues at the Raffles City branch started forming about a week ago. Likely because of its more central location.

Waited in line for 1 hour and 17 minutes

Curious to see what the fuss is all about, our colleague headed down before noon on a weekday and endured more than an hour in line at the kiosk.

The crowd consisted mostly of Gen-Z-ers. The five customers she spoke to all said they were there because of Nana’s video. Colour us unsurprised.

The menu

Customisable wraps and salad bowls here start from $10.50. Alternatively, you can go for fixed menu options like the Taj Mahal wrap (184.2 kcal, $12.70) with tandoori chicken, mint yoghurt dressing and vegetables, or the Martian Delight (207.9 kcal, $12.70), which comes with roasted mango chicken chutney, baked pumpkin and wasabi mayo.

Salads and grain bowls are priced from $12.70, while quesadillas — with fillings like beef — start from $8.60.

Is it really worth the hype? 

After the excruciating wait, our colleague finally reached the counter where she was presented with a myriad of colourful filling variations that were almost overwhelming. The auntie manning the shop looked understandably frazzled as she tried to make up her mind — no wonder the wait was so long. 

She went with Nana’s go-to order: a wholemeal wrap stuffed with lettuce, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, double pumpkin, grilled chicken, and mint yoghurt sauce. Simply Wrapps lists the calories for each item, for those watching their weight.

Alas, the pumpkin was sold out even before the lunch rush. Her wrap came up to about $12 in total.

Verdict 

So, was it worth the wait? “Guys, it’s just a wrap…,” she concluded after a few mouthfuls. “Maybe I’m missing out on the pumpkin, and the filling is very generous for about $12. [However], it really do be just a wrap!” she concludes. 

“In Raffles City, there are many food options and they can be pretty unhealthy sometimes, so yes, [Simply Wrapps’ offerings are] a good healthier option,” she added. “But is it worth the hype? No.”
